Duane rode his stationary bike over 75 miles from the beginning of May until he was hospitalized May 14 with pneumonia and respiratory failure secondary to Parkinson's disease. He was passionate about riding and wanted to make his goal of 400 miles this year. In fact, he rode 7 miles the day before he took ill. Duane was promoted to his heavenly home May 29th. In his memory, I am going to try and complete his goal of riding for this cause. He had the biggest smile and hand squeeze when I would tell him how many miles I rode before coming in to visit him. That memory encourages me to continue on ❤️
