Help me get an adaptive bike!

Every donation is an entry that brings Matthew one step closer to his own adaptive bike.

Diagnosis: Chromosome 8P, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Non-verbal
Age: 6 years old
Story: "Matthew’s life is filled with challenges that most children never have to face. At just 6 years old, he is already navigating multiple diagnoses, is wheelchair dependent, and is non-verbal. Much of his time is spent in therapy sessions, doctor visits, and hospital stays, which can be overwhelming and exhausting for him.

Through all of this, one thing consistently brings him joy—his adaptive bike. A few years ago, Matthew was blessed to receive a bike from Project Mobility, and it has truly been life-changing. When he is on his bike, he is no longer a patient—he is simply a little boy exploring, laughing, and enjoying the world around him. It allows him to exercise, build strength, and experience independence in a way that feels like play rather than therapy.

However, Matthew is growing quickly and has outgrown his current bike. Because of his specific needs, he requires a custom adaptive bike that can safely support his body as he continues to grow.

A new adaptive bike would give Matthew many more years of joy, movement, and independence. It would allow him to be outside with his family, participating in the world instead of watching from the sidelines. After everything he has been through with his health, he deserves that freedom and happiness.
