Join me to support kids with cancer
This will be my 8th year joining Candlelighter's in Ride For A Child to raise funds and awareness for local kids with cancer and their families. Every dollar pledged will go toward the mission of Candlelighters For Children With Cancer, a non-profit organization that provides life-changing programs and services for families facing cancer across Oregon and SW Washington. You can support me by pledging per mile, and following my progress on the Ride for a Child 2023 Leaderboard.
This will also be second year joining my daughter Mary to complete the week long ride and support Heaven, our sponsored child. Mary and I had the opportunity to meet Heaven last year and support RFAC with a local TV spot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2RddWpJBYI

About Candlelighters
From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Candlelighters provide programs that meet the needs of the whole family facing childhood cancer. Your support provides:
- $25: Fills the gas tank so families can get their child to the hospital for essential cancer treatment.
- $50: Fills a grocery bag of a family who may have had to leave a job to care for their child
- $100: Helps a family of four get essential food for several days or gas for several trips to the hospital for required treatments.
- $250: Fills the hospital pantry for one week, while families are in the hospital with their child who is receiving cancer treatment.
