Make Every Point Count: Join FAMU Basketball in Building Young Readers in the ELC of the Big Bend Region

Let's help provide students with essential supplies and materials through FAMU's Fight for Literacy Game! Expand opportunities for kids today. Click here to donate.

FAMU Men’s Basketball Teams are partnering with Champions for Literacy to host a Fight for Literacy Game, presented by International Paper, to benefit the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend.

Together, these Champions for Literacy are making sure every child is resourced and inspired to become a strong reader. Reading on grade level by the end of 3rd grade is a powerful and proven indicator that children will graduate high school and be college or career-ready. Join us by becoming a Champion for Literacy and donating to the cause!

BECOME A CHAMPION TODAY! HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Just $50 can provide complete literacy kits for 50–100 children in our region, giving them the tools they need to build strong reading skills.

  • A gift of $20 can purchase two books, enough to help a child start their very own home library and spark a lifelong love of reading.

100% of donations will stay local with the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend. These funds will empower ELC of the Big Bend to enhance literacy rates in our rural communities, giving children the tools they need to succeed in school. With your support, we can distribute more books to low-income students and make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
