SMU Women's and Men's Basketball are partnering with Champions for Literacy to host a Fight for Literacy Game (presented by International Paper) to benefit Readers 2 Leaders.

Together, these Champions for Literacy are making sure every child is resourced and inspired to become a strong reader. Reading on grade level by the end of 3rd grade is a powerful and proven indicator that children will graduate high school and be college or career-ready. 100% of donations will be granted to Readers 2 Leaders. Funding will support R2L's essential staffing costs. Each of our trained instructors can provide high-dosage, high-impact tutoring to 50-80 students per year. Students in our program make measurable progress in their essential reading skills, allowing them to catch up to grade level and thrive in school and life!
