Building Game Changers
From birdies to triple bogeys, golf closely parallels real life as players experience the highs and lows of the game.
First Tee - Manhattan helps shape the lives of kids and teens from all walks of life by introducing them to values inherent in the game of golf. Values like integrity, respect and perseverance.
You can find First Tee - Manhattan's junior golf and life skills programs at Colbert Hills Golf Course, in 25 local elementary schools, the Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp, Manhattan Catholic School Summer Camp, and at the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan.
In addition to learning fundamentals of the golf swing and the game, our character education and life skills programs help kids and teens prepare for success at school, at home and in their community.
Our Junior Golf & Life Skills Curriculum Focuses on: How to manage emotions, How to set goals, How to resolve conflicts, How to communicate with others
On October 10, 2021 we will host our 15th Annual Golf Marathon. This is going to be an exciting day of golf at the Colbert Hills Par 3 Course. Golfers will raise pledges from friends, families, and businesses, to ultimately help First Tee - Manhattan reach its goal of $20,000. All monies raised through the marathon will help First Tee - Manhattan offer affordable programs for ALL youth in Riley, Pottawatomie, and Geary County.
