Jared's Run Across America for Life
In February 2026, I will embark on a solo run across the United States, starting in San Diego and finishing in St. Augustine, Florida, about 3,000 miles on foot.
I’m taking on this challenge to raise support for the Front Royal Pregnancy Center, which provides hope, help, and resources to women facing unexpected pregnancies.

Day 114: 32 miles from Palatka to St. Augustine, Florida!
Total miles: 3,024
Today was euphoric. I was so excited to finish that I woke up at 4am and got an early start. Ran on a peaceful bike trail for the first 20 miles. Met the vice mayor of St. Augustine on the bike trail. Then ran through downtown St. Augustine to the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche where I met my family, and then to the ocean.
I’m so happy to be with my family again and I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for this safe journey and each person I’ve met along the way.
Every heartbeat, breath, step, ache, and joy on this journey was beyond worth it to raise support for the moms, babies, and families the pregnancy center serves.

Day 113: 29 miles from Melrose to Palatka, Florida
Spent much of the day on a beautiful shaded bike trail reflecting on the journey and realizing tomorrow is the final day. For months I’ve been looking forward to the finish, but now that it’s here, it’s bittersweet. I’m excited to see my family, grateful for every person I’ve met along the way, and amazed by how much God has carried me through these past 113 days.

Day 112: 33 miles from Gainesville to Melrose, FL
Started the day feeling weak and discouraged, but Mass and Confession changed everything. Ran peaceful miles on a bike trail, prayed, and ended the day camping under the Florida sky. Only two days until the finish!
One lesson from today stood out. Jesus is closest to us in our weakest moments. He wants us to let Him into the most broken places of our hearts.

Spent the morning reflecting on the journey and rereading my old journal entries. So grateful for the people who helped me along the way and for God’s protection through every mile.
Ended the day with a holy hour. Feeling excited to see my family soon.

Day 110: 18 miles from Ellisville to Alachua, Florida
Some miles are harder on the soul than the body. I felt frustrated today because the heavy traffic and narrow shoulder forced me onto grassy ditches for most of the day. I just wanted to be finished.
In the evening, I reread my first journal entries and it reminded me how faithful God has been through every step and every struggle. Grateful for God being present in those difficult times.
