Support the Palomarin Field Station team!
Our Palo Team, The Lookers, is thrilled to be participating in Point Blue's 2025 Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon! We are raising funds for Point Blue and specifically, for any donors who specify this, for the Palomarin Field Station. We rely on donors like you to support our bird & other ecological studies, early-career training, and outreach.
The goal is to raise funds by identifying as many bird species as possible in a 24-hour period between September 15 and October 15, while adhering to our motto Bird Hard, Stay Focused, and Look Good! Please consider helping our team members reach our fundraising goal by making a flat donation or by pledging a dollar amount per bird seen (and please designate your gift for Palo!).
Our core team will bird in West Marin, and we've invited Palo Alumni to join our team and bird wherever they are as virtual members! (These won't impact the species list for our generous per-species sponsors).
Thank you for your generous support of our team. To learn more about Point Blue's Palomarin Field Station, visit our website at https://www.pointblue.org/our-work/keystone-datasets/#palomarin-field-station.
Make a donation online by clicking "donate" above, or mail a check made out to Point Blue Conservation Science to ATTN: Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon, Point Blue Conservation Science, 3820 Cypress Dr STE 11, Petaluma, CA 94954 (and please include the name of the birder or team you are supporting in the memo line, and "for Palomarin" to designate your gift to the field station).
Please note: If you would like to make a per-species pledge, please select a team member's individual page.

Hello wonderful people,
I want to thank you for generously helping support the Palomarin Field Station, through your kind donations to the Lookers Birdathon team! We had a great day birding throughout various Point Reyes and Bolinas vicinities. You can see our results by going to https://ebird.org/tripreport/414300?view=checklists
You might be interested to know our highest single locations for #s of different species were Agate Beach (with 40 species), Five Brooks Pond (with 38) and collectively, a few stops along Bolinas Lagoon. We also saw many birds by simply walking the neighborhoods of Bolinas!
Thanks again for supporting me in this effort!
