Meet Honored Child, Xavier

9 year old Xavier’s superhero name would be aquaman, because he loves the ocean. He also loves camping, video games (fortnite and roblox) , and avatar. Xavier recently lost his family’s dog, and looks forward to getting two kittens soon. He has 6 sisters! He looks up to his mom and dad and sisters, because they are good to him. Seeing old and new friends is his favorite part of Candlelighters Family Camp, and his favorite Candlelighters activity ever is a bowling outing. Xavier was diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor, a type of kidney cancer that has also spread to his lungs.

We did it! Two long rides, back to back wearing my Candlelighters jersey honoring Xavier.

There was wind, rain, some ice, big hills with scary descents, big hills with fun descents, beautiful sights and lots of good company. Thank you for supporting RFAC!

The last 2 weeks have been a little slower because of school starting again and a vacation. 22 miles this week to finish up. I didn’t reach either one of my goals for miles or donations but I’m comfortable with that, without goals and it’s just a wish…

Thank you for all that contributed to this great cause and I hope to do it again next year.

Please keep these kids and there families in your thoughts.

I'll be doing the second weekend of Cycle Oregon on this coming Saturday and Sunday. Did some big (virtual) training rides this weekend, about 9000 feet of climbing packed into just about 50 miles worth of riding.

Thanks for your support!
