Why we are raising funds for retiring athletes?

We are excited to join this incredible initiative!

Athletes Soul's mission is very important to us and we are proud to help them make a difference in the life of so many athletes.

As former athletes, we experienced the challenges of athletic retirement and the grieving process. We are here to support this cause so that athletes can have access to dedicated and affordable support, something that didn't exist when we were athletes.

It's time we support the well-being and mental health of athletes outside of sport so that they can perform better during their sporting career and successfully navigate the challenges of athletic retirement.

Please help us support this effort by giving to our team page. Every dollar counts!

Thank you.

Vayda woke up this morning at 5:30, so I took her on a bike ride so she could apart of the Run for the Soul event to raise some money.

We rode for a few miles and ended up getting breakfast together. She has so much energy and is the sweetest thing in the world.

I have gone on a few runs since my last update.

One important update is I took a bike ride as well. This wasn’t just a regular bike ride though. I think it’s important to mention that it was an electric bike assisted ride. I told myself I would pedal at least half the time and I feel I stuck to that.

The reason I feel it’s important is because as athletes, we sometimes feel that if we don’t do it all on our own, we are weak or we’re not doing the work. There is nothing wrong with getting help or assistance. I still got a good amount of activity in on the ride. I even ended up at a food truck event and listened to some live music.

It’s important to stay active, no matter if it’s assisted or not, because that’s what keeps our blood flowing, our brain working, and our bodies healthy. You don’t have to do it alone, even if you feel like you do. Get some help sometimes, ask for assistance and together we will go far!
