Minuteman Flames

Tonight was a skater centered practice working on board play, so I saw less action in practice than normal. I got my new pink mask straps installed. A big thank you for to Chuck Fabio at Goalie County for sending them for me to wear during October Saves. I can’t believe the month is almost over, it has gone by so fast. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through my fundraising so far, it has been by far, my best year yet 💜🩷

My Flames team had a very strong showing today against an undefeated rival Northstars team. Going into the game they were 4-0 on the season. We played a fast, back and forth game and gave up an own goal with 45 seconds left to go down 4-5, which ended up being the final score. I played one of my best games of the season stopping 42/47 shots. I am so happy with how the team played in front of me today, they battled right to the final whistle.

I was supposed to split the time in the crease with my partner Dom today, but he had a last minute minor injury and ended up not feeling well enough to play today. I am sad to report that my goalie partner Dom’s grandfather lost his battle with cancer earlier this week. I am so happy to have Dom fundraising for October Saves with me this year, he’s absolutely crushing it!

I added another 49 saves tonight in practice during 3v3 scrimmage, 1 on 1 drills and 5 puck to end practice. We were getting prepared to face a strong undefeated Northstars team tomorrow. Last weekend was a tough loss in the championship game of the Comets Cup in Utica, NY. The team is extra motivated to get back to work tomorrow.
