Green Chile'd Towhees (FBC-ABQSF)

Takes place Oct 16-19, 2026

We're red and green and birding for mutual aid all over!

The Green Chile'd Towhees are excited to be a part of Feminist Bird Club's Birdathon for Mutual Aid Disaster Relief!

2026 is our first year as a FBC chapter and we have made so many great friends and connections over the last 10 months, and raised a lot of funds for local causes.

We are so happy to come together to celebrate the inclusive nature of bird joy while fundraising for Mutual Aid Disaster Relief; a grassroots disaster relief network based on the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and autonomous direct action. Many New Mexico communities are disproportionately affected by climate related disasters, so this cause is extra special to us.

Please help our team reach our goal by leaving a flat donation or making a pledge to support any of our team members in this inclusive campaign.

Thank you for your support, and stay tuned for birding updates from our team!

SIX SEVEN πŸ˜†

67 species as we close out day three of our Birdathon. We were lucky to find a very rare bird for our county and one that is difficult to see even where they are common - an American Bitten!

This is the first time this bird has been seen in Santa Fe county since 1972. Wild!

Stay tuned as more lists roll in over today and tomorrow. Thanks for following along!
