More Than a Wood Stork

We’re representing Broomfield County in the 2025 Colorado Birding Challenge! On September 6, our team will be out from first light to last, searching for as many bird species as possible—all in support of Colorado Field Ornithologists and their conservation mission.

As Broomfield locals, we bird this county year-round and know it has a lot to offer. Colorado’s smallest county is currently making big headlines thanks to a wayward Wood Stork. But celebrity sightings aside, Broomfield has real depth—and we plan to turn over every shrub and scan every pond to reveal its full avian potential.
