We're Participating in the 2025 COBC on Sept. 6 and We Need Your Support!
We're excited to participate in the 2025 COBC! Our team is going to try and find as many species of birds as we can on Sept. 6 to support Colorado Field Ornithologists and its conservation mission.
You can support us by pledging an amount for each bird species we find or if you prefer, you can make a donation of any amount.
CFO's mission is important to us and we're proud to help them make a difference. Please support us by giving to our page. Every dollar counts!
Thank you!

We had a wonderful time birding Weld County, and found 104 species, including a Gray Flycatcher! Jeff, Henry Pete and I enjoyed the sun rise at Crow Valley Campground, where we chased sparrows and warblers in tall Cottonwoods and willows, juniper hedge rows, and shrubby areas. We created 26 checklists traveling north of the campground to the Pawnee Grasslands, stopping at watery spots around Greeley and ponds near the St. Vrain River, and ended our day at the Coal Creek in Erie, to view a Barn Owl nest, listen for Great Horned Owls and watch the rising harvest moon!
Thank you for the support in our Big Day. We raised over $2000 for bird conservation efforts in the state of Colorado! Much thanks to the CFO organizers who made this event possible, and my teammates for braving a long day of birding and all that entails.
All the best,
