JOIN TIM AND NATHAN'S FUNDRAISING FOR CANDELIGHTERS

I’m riding on TEAM NATHAN to raise funds and awareness for local kids with cancer and their families. Every dollar pledged will go toward the mission of Candlelighters For Children With Cancer, a non-profit organization that provides life-changing programs and services for families facing cancer across Oregon and SW Washington. You can support me by pledging and following my progress on the Ride for a Child 2023 Leaderboard.

Nathan, ten years old, was diagnosed with T-Cell ALL, a type of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia five year ago. This year he celebrated his birthday without being on medication. Nathan lives with his mom and dad along with two dogs and two cats.

Nathan's favorite Candlelighter's memory is biking with the RFAC cyclists in 2022 during Cycle Oregon. He will be joining the RFAC team for the Ride Out in Albany on the first day of Cycle Oregon 2023.

About Candlelighters

From diagnosis through treatment and beyond, Candlelighters provide programs that meet the needs of the whole family facing childhood cancer. Your support provides:

  • $25: Fills the gas tank so families can get their child to the hospital for essential cancer treatment.
  • $50: Fills a grocery bag of a family who may have had to leave a job to care for their child
  • $100: Helps a family of four get essential food for several days or gas for several trips to the hospital for required treatments.
  • $250: Fills the hospital pantry for one week, while families are in the hospital with their child who is receiving cancer treatment.
