We're thrilled to bring the Ebony & Ivory-billed Woodpecker team to the 2025 COBC! We'll be birding Adams County from dawn till dusk on Sept. 6, attempting to spot an ambitious 90 bird species while supporting the Colorado Field Ornithologists' conservation mission!

Our name plays on the classic Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder duet, while revealing a deeper truth: just as ebony wood brings music to life in instruments like the piano and guitar, the ivory-billed's drumming echoing through forests reminds us that music is a world within itself with a language we all understand and we can work it out.
