My Mission
I'm excited to join the Run Across May presented by WORK. WORK is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to accompany families in Haiti out of poverty through good, dignified jobs. Those jobs include reclaiming ocean-bound plastic and sourcing it to megacorporations like Unilever, HP and megabrands like Ralph Lauren, Timberland & Reebok. I'm proud to be a part of this event to take on the challenge of #200Together in May. Please support me in my insane, 200 league biking plan, by making a donation to my fundraiser. Lovely 40 mile ride along the Mon River from Washington's Landing (on the Allegheny) to McKeesport and back. Lots of history from Braddock's Defeat in 1755 to the Battle of Homestead in 1892; from the closing of the Carrie blast furnaces in 1982 to the erecting of the Yellow Dog sculpture by George Junior Republic high school welding students in honor and memory of the steelworkers in 2019.
