Birding for a better world from the UK

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a massive bird nerd with a passion for bird photography. This is why I'm excited to be a part of Feminist Bird Club's Birdathon for Birders of Palestine representing team United Kingfishers (a UK-based team)! The birding community is coming together to celebrate the inclusive nature of bird joy while fundraising for Birders of Palestine, an independent project fundraising to support Palestinian birdwatchers. You can read more about their mission here. These are people just like you and I who continue their passion for bird photography despite living through a genocide.

Please help us reach our goal by leaving a donation! Your support will help provide critical funds to birders and their families as they try to survive genocide and ethnic cleansing, and encourage their love for birding.

You can also support the Palestinian birders and their families directly by purchasing a print on the Birders of Palestine website. Submit your receipt here and note that your purchase is to support my fundraising campaign!

Thank you for considering and stay tuned for my birding updates! 🐦

Birdathon has come to an end and I just have to say a MASSIVE thank you to our incredible donors. We can't begin to tell you how grateful we are for you and your support. It was all truly too generous!

Thanks to you all, we well exceeded our initial goal of $200 raising $338 in total! The UK isn't the most species rich country in the world so it was incredible lofty of us to set our species goal of 50 over one weekend. With teammates exploring multiple habitats and locations, we were able to see 53 species total.

Thank you again to everyone!

The United Kingfishers, a UK based team, couldn't be happier with our success from this event.
