Team Captain of The Azimuth Check-Up
GallantFew, RRR and Cancer Awareness
Join me this September for RUN RANGER RUN to support U.S. Army Rangers, the nation's most deployed unit! By supporting Run Ranger Run and GallantFew, Rangers will be provided more resources to ensure a successful reintegration into civilian life.
This year, my personal goal is to raise $5,000—and the mission hits even closer to home.
Last year, I survived prostate cancer. That journey revealed a hard truth: prostate and other cancers are far too prevalent among our veteran community, often tied to service-related toxic exposures. When I shared my diagnosis online, over ten fellow Rangers and veterans reached out privately to say they were fighting the exact same battle. Just recently, we lost Mark F., a Ranger officer I served alongside, to an aggressive brain tumor.
In land navigation, an azimuth check keeps us on course. In health, it’s no different—we need an "Ass-imuth Check" to check our six and get screened early.
I’m running not only to help GallantFew empower transitioning veterans, but to honor Mark and remind every veteran out there that early detection saves lives.
Help me reach my $5,000 goal:
Donate to my page (every dollar counts!).
Share this link with your network.
Remind the veterans in your life to schedule their screening.

RRR 2026 begins!
I'm at Joint Base Lewis McChord supporting the 2nd Ranger Battalion Ranger for Life transition seminar. Walked three miles around the main post and found the quarters we lived in 40+ years ago.
Your generosity helps support Ranger for Life, and this year I have a special focus on encouraging veterans to get checked for cancer - especially prostate cancer, which I survived last year - this encouraging men to get the "assimuth" checked!
Thank you again! Karl
