My Birdathon Page

As I’m sure you know, bird-watching is a favorite hobby of mine. I am going to put that passion into action by helping a local conservation organization, Seattle Audubon. This spring, I will be participating in Birdathon. It's like a walkathon, but I count birds instead of walking laps. I will be going out on a single Big Day to see how many different bird species I can see and hear.

Together, with other Birdathon participants, we will raise funds to fuel Seattle Audubon's mission to advocate and organize for cities where people and birds thrive.

Please support me by making a donation through my fundraising page. Your gift of $250, $100, or $50 provides resources for urban conservation, environment education, and community science programs in our local community. Every dollar counts towards my goal! Thank you.

Hey all!

Yesterday was our team's Big Day! I met up with the rest of the Honey Nut Vireos team at Nisqually NWR and counted 52 species in 5 hours. Though I had to leave the team after lunch to cheer on Eddy at her first running event, I was able to get 10 more species with a quick visit to Shoreview Park and just keeping my eyes and ears open while running around town.

Some highlights of my day included seeing some baby rufous hummingbirds in their nest, a sneaky Wilson's snipe, and a rare American White Pelican flying low over our heads at Nisqually. Of course, a nice view of an Osprey while cheering on the runners was cool too. Thanks for all your support!
