Staff Birdathon Page

As I’m sure you know, bird-watching is a favorite hobby of the members of our team. We are putting that passion into action in support of a local conservation organization, Seattle Audubon. This spring, our team will be participating in Birdathon. It's like a walkathon, but we count birds instead of walking laps. We will be going out as a team on a single Big Day to see how many different bird species we can see and hear.

Together we will raise funds to fuel Seattle Audubon's mission to advocate and organize for cities where people and birds thrive.

Please support our team by making a donation through this fundraising page. Your gift of $250, $100, or $50 provides resources for urban conservation, environment education, and community science programs in our local community. Every dollar counts towards our team goal! Thank you.

May 25 was a beautiful outing with beautiful birds and beautiful people. We kept a slower-than-usual pace throughout the day that was very pleasant and we still managed to see 80 species! Thank you to all my donors for your support.

Always love birdathoning with the Honey Nut Vireos :) We totaled 80 species, including two lifers for me, American Bittern and Cinnamon Teal.

We also saw two about-to-fledge Rufous Hummingbirds.
