Team Captain of Yes We Pelican! (Feminist Bird Club)
Support my team in the Great Wisconsin Birdathon!
Hi everyone! Our Feminist Bird Club team—Yes We Pelican!— is back for our third year of the Birdathon. Last year we fundraised to put Birding Backpacks at all nine Madison Public Library locations and we made it happen! Learn how you can check one out. 🎒
I'd love if you could support me with a donation again this year! Funds raised in the Birdathon support Wisconsin's highest priority conservation projects, as well as our FBC chapter and we'd love to continue growing the Birding Backpack project.
Birds have brought so much joy into my life - and your donation not only helps protect them, but allow our FBC chapter to share the joy of birding with everyone. Thank you for considering!
With love and birds,
Caitlyn ❤️

Team Yes We Pelican!, representing the Feminist Bird Club-Madison Chapter, birded all day long on Sunday, May 7th. We had nearly 70 birders joining five different field trips across Madison, several solo birders chipping with checklists, and a very dedicated crew that chose to tackle an 18-hour big day. Collectively, FBC members were able to spot an incredible 158 species, breaking our previous year's record by 4 species! 🎉
Crowd favorites included Indigo Bunting, Cape May Warbler, and lots of goofy Green Herons. Together, our team raised over $2,000 for the Birdathon!

Your Donation Makes a Difference For Birds
Donations made to the Great Wisconsin Birdathon support the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin’s Bird Protection Fund, which has given out over $1.3 million towards Wisconsin’s highest priority bird conservation projects since its inception in 2009.
Whether it's creating Piping Plover habitat, rearing Whooping Crane chicks, spreading awareness about Connecticut Warblers, supporting community initiatives for bird-friendly neighborhoods, engaging new and underrepresented voices in the birding community, building impactful collaborations to protect Wisconsin's Important Bird Areas, or protecting our neotropical migrants on their long migratory journeys to Central America... the Bird Protection Fund is there to help.
Your donations make this work possible. Thank you for supporting on-the-ground conservation and being there #ForTheBirds!
