Support our team in the Great Wisconsin Birdathon!

Team Yes We Pelican! is back for our fourth year of the Birdathon! We represent the Feminist Bird Club-Madison Chapter. Can we spot a lot of birds, raise funds for bird conservation, and build an inclusive birding community all at the same time? Yes We Pelican!

By donating to our team, you're supporting both the Bird Protection Fund, which funds Wisconsin's highest priority bird conservation projects, and our chapter. Fifty percent of what we raise will go towards supporting our FBC-Madison Chapter and the programming and projects we provide in the Madison area.

Every dollar counts when it comes to helping our birds and ensuring that everyone has access to the joy birds bring! No donation is too small. Thank you for considering!

🐦 Wanna bird with us? We'll be hosting birding outings around Madison all day long on Sunday, May 12th! Sign up here!

Bird 119 - sedge wren!

My partner saw 98 bird species on our Colorado trip two weeks ago, including 47 lifers! Alas, that was not in Wisconsin though, so I won't count it. It was still a very exciting time!

Thank you to everyone that donated to support Wisconsin conservation. Happy birding!

Adding Worm-eating Warbler, Mourning Warbler, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Connecticut Warbler, Cape May Warbler, and Blackpoll Warbler to the list. I guess next year I'll have to set a higher goal...

Your Donation Makes a Difference For Birds

Donations made to the Great Wisconsin Birdathon support the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin’s Bird Protection Fund, which has given out over $1.4 million towards Wisconsin’s highest priority bird conservation projects since its inception in 2009.

Whether it's creating Piping Plover habitat, rearing Whooping Crane chicks, spreading awareness about declining songbirds, supporting community initiatives for bird-friendly neighborhoods, engaging new and underrepresented voices in the birding community, building impactful collaborations to protect Wisconsin's Important Bird Areas, or protecting our neotropical migrants on their long migratory journeys to Central America... the Bird Protection Fund is there to help.

Your donations make this work possible. Thank you for supporting on-the-ground conservation and being there #ForTheBirds!
